An efficient and reliable model railroad control systemĪll in all, Rocrail comes with a comprehensive suite of features for helping you control a model railroad layout manually and/or automatically. The application lets you create multiple workspaces that include all files needed by the Rocrail server to control a layout, work with a modular layout, make use of the R2Rnet network for making roaming trains travel from system to system, and enable various command stations.įurthermore, you can create staging blocks divided in multiple detection sections, tweak manual signals in automatic mode, define user actions to control anything, set up schedules for a realistic train flow, turn on the random automatic control, and work with symbol themes in SVG. You may start with setting up locomotives, blocks, sensors, and routes, blocking events, and tweaking block occupancy. Rocrail offers you the freedom to configure the way the locomotives are controlled in detail. The client (Rocview) connects to the server over the network and can be used for planning the layouts. The server (Rocrail) works with a wide range of controllers, namely Märklin's 6051, the Uhlenbrock Intellibox, Loconet, SRCP connections such as DDL/DDW, and others. It also offers support for web-based interface which empowers you to run the layout from various web browsers. Rocrail can be used from a single PC connected directly to the layout, and you may control your layout from any computer on your home network or over the Internet. It is not mandatory to run them both on the same computer. The program employs a server and client that work hand in hand via Internet protocols. The utility provides support for automatic and manual modes for controlling the trains via blocks, routes, schedules and complex patterns. It runs on Windows, Linux, Mac OS X, and Raspberry Pi, and uses the wxWidgets toolkits. Rocrail is an open-source application able to control a model train layout from one or more computers.

We are going to set Handbrake up so it doesn’t matter what kind your source video is, your output will be progressive. It draws each frame from start to finish in a progressive line. Progressive scanning is much nicer to watch. Once your eye is aware of interlacing it is very hard to un-see, and is quite annoying. Where I am in Australia we use Interlaced video, which draws the screen in two separate passes and interlaces them together. Different countries use different display methods. The first thing we will tackle is Interlacing. Just make sure that the “Resolution Limit” is set to “None”, and Anamorphic is set to”Automatic” Handbrake has become really good at automatically picking the right video output size settings, so I recommend not touching anything in this window unless you have to. (MKV was used for this tutorial and is my personal preference) Select either “MKV” or “MP4” and then click the “Dimensions” Tab. The only thing we need to be concerned with here is the output file format option. Once your video has loaded you should find yourself on the “Summary” tab. Handbrake utilizes 7 tabs to help you navigate though setting up the desired video file output parameters. Once you have the current version of Handbrake installed and have ripped your DVD video to MKV, drop your file into Handbrake, or you can also click the “Open Source” button in the top left to load your video file. The details of my DVD Source are shown below in Media Info video data viewer. The version of Handbrake used in this tutorial is v1.5.1 which is the current stable release for February 2022. The video is encoded on a 7 year old HP desktop computer with a Intel I5 processor. I play the media from a Apple TV 4K, and use the Infuse Pro player app. THE TECHNICAL STUFF – My TV is a 65″ Samsung 4K, and I sit about 10-12 feet back from it. If you feel there is something that could be done better, or should be done differently, please feel free to let us all know by leaving a comment. This is a guideline, and a great place for a beginner to start. We all have different size TV’s that use differing upscale methods, different size and shape rooms, different players and a plethora of other factors that could produce varying results. THE GOAL – To produce the highest quality video with the smallest possible file size, whilst retaining the entire original 5.1 Dolby Digital sound track.ĭISCLAIMER – This method will produce very nice quality videos, but may take SEVERAL hours process to each hour of video! Unfortunately, good quality video with small file size cant be done quickly, it just doesn’t work that way. I've seen their television commercials offering to 'Price-Match' any of the Big Box Stores on lots of different power and/or Garden tools. It seems that all their tools have taken a nose dive off the dependability cliff these past couple of years. That way I'm covered from the 8N tractor, all the way up to the 88 Camaro. Maybe it would be best for me to purchase two guns: another basic and one with a 'set back feature'. I had no idea purchasing a replacement timing light would be so involved educationally! Thanks each and every one of you for putting the seperate spin (viewpoint) out there. Replace the stock unit with the adjustable one, turn it all the way in (so there is NO vacuum advance) and turn it out a turn at a time, road testing after each turn until it pings, then back it off.Īll this info really confused me for awhile. Many racers run their cars with just mechanical advance, but for a street car that can hurt cruising performance and gas mileage. I know, it was a cheap pun.Īdd an adjustable vacuum advance - If you are going to run a lot of initial advance, the stock vacuum advance will provide too much advance and cause pinging. But again, if you don't know the shop's reputation, you can get burned, so choose "weisely". You can even hunt for a local shop with a distributor machine. It is best to send the distributor to Jim Weise at Tri-Shield Performance and have him set it up. You can buy a "recurve" kit at any parts store. Getting your distributor "recurved" - What this means is having the mechanical advance changed to be what you want. Set your distributor so the new mark stops where you want. If it stops at +4, you have 34* advance, and so on. If you rev your engine to get all the advance "in", and the new mark climbs up and stops at 0 on the timing pad and wants to go no farther despite more revving, you have 30* advance. When you rev your engine and watch the new mark, it'll climb up toward your timing tabs on the timing cover as the ignition advances. Shine your timing light on the balancer and you'll see your new mark well below the timing tab on the timing cover. Make a mark with paint (a hacksaw puts a nice mark in it, but don't go nuts there, you only need a mark) and put a dot above it and below it so you can tell it from your factory mark. Using an ordinary timing light and remarking your balancer - While facing the balancer, measure 1.76" clockwise from the original timing mark around the circumference of the balancer. Like most creepypasta games, you won’t be able to find an original copy of The Theater, and that’s probably a good thing. The Theater is another old game that launched way back during the same era of the first DOOM game. The second attack is missing some frames and is said to be cursed if you watch it.ĥ Creepiest Gaming Creepypastas Pale Luna Not too long after, the White Hand Sprite will use its “Brutal” attack in which it will open up and fade out before appearing on your screen again. The first attack it does is ball up into a fist and swing at your Pokemon. The worst part about the hand isn’t how it looks, but rather what it does in battle. It’s honestly quite detailed considering the fact that it’s a sprite from Red/Blue. The hand itself is decayed, showing peeled flesh and exposed bone. As the name implies, this “Pokemon” is a floating, white hand that appears on the third floor of the Pokemon Tower in Lavander Town. One particular creepypasta that’s bound to send a chill up your spine is the White Hand Sprite. Heck, even the Bulbasaur Funko has a pair of soulless, eerie eyes. There are some scary moments within the games themselves, such as the Old Chateau, the ghost girl in X and Y, and the Darkrai event. The Pokemon series has seen its fair share of horror stories in the past, usually involving the eerie Lavander Town. You can catch up on the full creepypasta here, but what better way to experience the story than playing the game yourself? Fans of the story have made a full recreation of the entire Sonic.EXE game you can download here.ĥ Creepiest Gaming Creepypastas White Hand Sprite Needless to say, the story didn’t end well for Tails, Knuckles, and Tom, who were all hunted down by the blue blur. The game came with a slew of bizarre imagery, such as Sonic with pitch black eyes, dead animals littering the stages, Tails fleeing for his life, and some fourth-wall breaking. Tom decided to boot up Sonic.EXE and try it out for himself, which obviously wasn’t the smartest idea. The sender had apparently been playing Sonic.EXE and urged his friend to destroy the disc before a mysterious entity came around to killing him. The story centers around a teenager named Tom who had gotten a mysterious package that contained a game from his friend. The tale starts off like any other, with a warning about how playing the game will lead to your death. You wouldn’t think he’d be a target of creepypastas (and no, we’re not talking about his movie), but here we are with Sonic.EXE. Everybody knows Sonic – he’s that charismatic blue hedgehog who’s always around to save the day. Beyond this, the hair naturally falls flat. Unless you have the tools (hot rollers, anyone?) to keep it under control, it’s best to keep the top to no more than four inches in length. While it’s not impossible, a long top always requires more work and product. Generally, start with a small amount and work it in without altering your hair’s natural texture.Ģ. By midday, it’s no longer buoyant and instead may appear flat and greasy. Too much mousse or pomade weighs your hair down. Yet, two mistakes are relatively common:ġ. From the quiff to the slick back, pompadour, comb over, and brush up, these cool short sides long top hairstyles offer plenty of contrast, versatility, and styling options. How Not to Style a Quiffīetween blow-drying and having the right products, little can go wrong when you’re styling a quiff outside of the barbershop. In fact, many of the best haircuts for guys start with an undercut or fade on the sides and back, and medium-length to long hair on top. To sum it up, it’s the easy man’s quiff that’s ready to go in minutes and is ideal for guys who’ve mostly kept their hair short but want to try something new. However, the French crop adds more hair on top not always enough to fully slick back but just the right amount for some texture and keeps the sides faded. A water-based formula reduces the potential flat, greasy look you could theoretically have hours later.Ī traditional French crop looks much like a Caesar, with the hair cut close to the head in a slightly ragged, pieced look. The amber-colored solution has a distinctive yet not perfume-heavy smell, and it delivers the right amount of shine, so the wearer can replicate those grand retro-styled quiffs that matte-finish products have made nearly obsolete. Third, the aesthetic elements keep it above the competition. Application is relatively smooth, with no sand-like texture, and the solution can be warmed by your hands to spread easily. For its pomades, Suavecito promises an all-in-one solution that can be rubbed in and, after some styling, is generally good to go. Secondly, while the men’s grooming market has greatly expanded, so have the number of products needed to get your quiff just so. As such, the hold is relatively strong although formulations vary and it’s priced reasonably. One, its creators originally formulated it for barbershops. Pinterest side shaved quiff hairdo The quiff is basically a hairstyle that belongs to a class of long top, short sides and back hairstyles. Although barbers and individuals all have their preferences, Suavecito has turned into the go-to quiff-styling product in recent years. Alternatively, you could grow out the hair for about an inch more and brush it upward and backward, which will result in a gentler (but slightly looser) quiff.
